Andrea Opavska became one of prominent figures of contemporary dance within the last 10 years. She was part of Lenka Vagnerova & Company. Opavska was nominated for the Thalia Award for her work in Gossip and was awarded an award of a prestigious nature at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival for her role at La Loba. These long and active years are also accompanied by a transition to the next path in life. I was aware that my gaps were growing in comparison to other dancers as well as me. Opavska speaks about her role as part of the group. "I was beginning to consider whether the gap between me and the young dancers was something people could bear," says Opavska.
